DON'T FORGET PRACTICE EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT

The Cohocton MX Rundown
05-07-2008 08:13
For the majority of companies that have confronted a crisis, the most nerve-wracking aspect of the crisis, other than the event itself, is dealing with the public perception of what has happened.

Cohocton Motocross has operated as a small struggling yet successfully growing and developing organization for 7 years. In the past two years our family has taken on major developments in multiple other businesses including Trucking, Excavation, Retail, and other Sports Facilities. A major influx of work and a fast growing customer base has kept us laboring to our maximum capacity. Overwhelming physical, mental and emotional strain coupled with the death of a cherished family member caused our family, friends and crew to reach breaking points which lead to the cancellation of the 4/20 race.

To quell all rumors, Cohocton Motocross is still a strong and stable entity but the fast paced growths of our other businesses have become overpowering and an adjustment period is needed. So, after much deliberation it has been decided that we will cancel the remaining scheduled race events for the 2008 season.

We will continue to hold Thursday night practices and continue to develop and maintain the facility including multiple tracks as previously planned. We will carry on strengthening our organization and positioning it in a more positive direction with the goal to eventually return to conducting race events to the highest caliber in future years to come.

Again, we thank all who have helped and who were willing to lend a hand. We personally thank Mark Emmett and the AMRA for their help and understanding in this matter.

We hope to see you come out and enjoy the track sometime soon.
